Protected from Traveling Alone!

A great observation from the book Radical Hospitality: "Hospitality, as it has been practiced from ancient days, protected people from the dangers of traveling alone." (p. 11)

Maybe that's why hospitality was a central expression of the gospel and the welcome of God in the early church. We still live in a perilous world. Life is as uncertain now as it has ever been. Opening our homes and our lives to each other ensures that no one makes the journey alone.
